Short CV

David is a lecturer in Political Economy within the School of Sustainability, Governance, and Methods. His teaching in a range of course across the bachelor and master programs therefore takes an economic approach towards understanding interactions within complex socio-ecological systems, with the expressed objective of enhancing societal wellbeing while maintaining ecological integrity.

David is also the MU Sustainability Manager with responsibilities for measuring and reporting on the University's performance across a wide range of considerations.

Research interests

David's research interests include all things environmental, including sustainable tourism and certification, food choice, product durability, fiat currency, environmental regulation and sustainability reporting, as well as human population dynamics and issues surrounding societal inequality. Methodologically, David has experience with both qualitative and quantitative approaches plus expertise in the hybrid, Q-methodology.
