Selina Xie is a Researcher and Lecturer at the School of Tourism and Service Management at Modul University Vienna, where she is also pursuing her PhD. Before joining Modul, she worked as a Research Assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). She holds a master’s degree in Applied Translation Studies from the University of Leeds and a bachelor’s degree in Event Tourism Management from the Macao University of Tourism.
Research interests
Her research interests include tourism and hospitality workforce, destination image, and data-driven marketing in the digital age. Methodologically, she centers on multimodal analytics that combine natural language processing, machine learning, and image analysis to turn large-scale data into actionable insights for industry and policy.
