Description
In today's world, access to information thought of as the resolution of uncertainty; is often considered as a benefit or even as an indisputable human right. The lack of information brings flaws to our decisions, which can be considered as a form of harassment of those who refuse to share it with us, additionally, there are parallels being drawn between the information and education. On the other hand, there is also the “dark side” of information: the abundance of data beyond one’s capacity to process then leads to so-called information overload (IOL). This notion is by no means new - it had troubled mankind long before even print was invented and examined from different points of view, ranging from psychology through business and management sciences to journalism. The last 20 years have been marked by the penetration of social media by IOL, mainly due to rapid and omnipotent access to the Internet that allows its users to send millions of comments and messages every day.
