Project Details
Description
The main goal of this study is to provide evidence of the technology use by visitors in the museum context and the consequential effects on the art experiences. Specifically, the aim is (1) to understand how cultural institutions perceive the place of smart technology in the contemporary museum experience; (2) to map visitors' interaction with smartphones during their museum visit; (3) to evaluate the effect of those use patterns on overall perceived art experience after the visit. The effects are further compared across the art gallery types(i.e., classic, contemporary art gallery, museum of applied arts).
